My dog Silly Gurl, rescued from the pound..dead dog walking. Her name is SillyGurl because she just is a silly girl. We don't think she is really a dog. We think she is someone or something else come back for a specific reason and she's really horrified to be a dog.Speaking of which... a loving, sad farewell to Ella Bella and Obie, two apple-head longhairs who lost their lives to a greyhound rescue dog doing what greyhounds do best, chase small things. They are in dog paradise, with Aggie and Pebo, where all best loved dogs go. Sad night indeed. jb

Dear Jeanne, I'm sorry to hear about Silly Gurl, Ella Bella and Obie. I think if nothing else, dogs are here to teach us humans about how to love life and everyone in it unconditionally. Take care and keep painting what you love...
Also sorry about the losses.
On a lighter note, the color here is to die for and I love the big shapes and the way you handled the eyes and gently curving ears. I really really like this painting.
