Another entry in the Different Strokes From Different Folks blog hosted by Karin Juric. The links are to the right. I really struggled again with this one as my hands shake too much for linear work. After at least ten days and twenty paintings-over, I quit at this last version, which I admit I like. jb

Your piece really stood out among all of the MANY entries: I love it. Also quite taken with Belle Terre below: atmospheric.
I really like your version of the DSFDF challenge. I too, really like Bell Terre below.
You live in my favorite part of this state, the central coast, lucky you!
How clever of you to choose that composition. I visit your blog regularly and especially enjoy your landscapes.
I think what you did is great, great idea
Hi Joann, I found the windows some of the most interesting. The reflection and transparency is fun and challenging.
I agree with Carol, it was a great idea to crop it like this - works beautifully.
I get shaky hands, too, and haven't quite worked out a solution. But, I'm thinking of using a Richard Schmid trick and hooking a cane at the top of the painting/easel so that I can rest my hand on it (like a maul stick)for the times I need a steadier hand. Now if I can only find my cane!
Lovely luminous yellow in this painting. I love it!
